Tama-Chan no KokoroWindow to my Life August 05 Update from BCWow, it's been a while... I'm only writing because I was aked to update everyone when I'm on my trip. Things are good. The flight went well, we shopped and I found a nice pair of shoes. We ate dinner at a nice Japanese place with Katie. Then, we drove down to Dan's grandparent's place near Salmon Arm. It's really pretty down here. Tomorrow we head back into Vancouver, we'll be visiting Dan's grandfather and having dinner with his cousins. Monday we have a day trip planned with Andrea and James. We still want to visit Stanley Park and Mercury Vancouver, which I thin we'll end up doing on Tuesday. I think that sums things up, I'm heading to bed. March 28 Idol, St. Patty's Day & the Stag & Doe.So, an update on my life.
I went to the Canadian Idol auditions a couple weeks ago. Alex, Gen & Suzanne came too (Alex didn't audition, and had to leave before us other 3 did), and Dan even drove all the way out to St.Laurent just to wish me good luck. :) I got past the 1st judge, but not the second. It's not so bad though. She just said I had to take some vocal lessions to improove the strength of my voice. Otherwise my sound, pitch, tone and style were all good. So, now I'm searching for a vocal instructor. Preferably one that doesn't charge an arm & a leg...
After the audition, I gorged on fatty foods and went to a St.Patty's day party at the house of a friend from work. It was fun. Lots of drinking, good music for the most part, good friends (one of which got way too drunk...) and good times over all.
Besides that, I set-up, hosted and ran the Stag & Doe for Ginny & Richard (Dan's sister and her fiancee). We had "Guess the Size of Jeffs Sword", "Guess the Size of Alex & Fabian's Boobs", and "Pie Richard in the Face" as some of the games & activities, and Gen raffled herself off, which was definenly the biggest & maker of the night, followed by drink sales and Pieing Richard... It was a great party, for which I got many compliments, and we raised almost $600 after expences. Their wedding has taken up so much of my spare time lately, but it's almost here. I think less than a month or so to go.
Last night, Dan and I went out with Alex and Fabian for cheap appitizer night @ O'Connors. I had a good time. I love those guys. They're really great, and I love hanging out with them. I was really happy Dan decided that we could join them. He was really tired & just wanted to go home and sleep. It was awsome that he changed his mind. :)
I have laundry to clean, trash to take out, a house to tidy, and I have to get to work by 12:30... March 01 Mardi-Gras and... Yeah...Well, The Mardi-Gras party went alright. Only a handful of people turned out this time (the animators were all under crazy deadlines, and the Costco people all had other plans, except for Alex.), but none-the-less it was fun.
Besides that, today went unexpectedly slow. I waited a couple precious hours for a repair man who didn't show up, So he's comming next Thursday, Then I went to the gym, and was feeling fulfilled after the tredmill, a little, but I wanted to feel worn out, and that definently didn't do it for me, so I did the exercise bike, which was fine, but I wanted more, and just never got it... :( I left, bought stuff for lasagna for tomorrow night, worked out a bit more with my weights, still nothing... Made lasagna, now I'm heading out to do wedding stuff with Gin. Or at least I think that's what I'm doing... There's no answer at the house, and I don't think I ever confirmed plans, although we've done wedding stuff the past 2 weeks now... Anyways, just thought I'd drop a line. Maybe I'm just feeling lonely today? Maybe I need someone to tell me that they want me, and/or need me? I'll be seeing Dan later. I'm sure he'll make me feel better.I'm just feeling down... Especially since I left the gym... I guess I was expecting more good-feelings from my day off than I could give myself. *sigh*
Well, the next party will be fun. February 05 Weekend @ TremblantTemblant was lots of fun. We were schedualed to leave from Kanata on Friday (February 2nd) evening. We were going to go down as a group, but Fabian, Alex and I decided to leave before the others (Laura, Liam and Mike) because they needed to eat, and we already had. The drive down was fun. We had to make a pit stop to buy some drinks and cups in thurso (aka Stinky-ville), got a little lost near Omega park (and took some awsome pictures; the boys had some fun with a Bison...), and got stuck behind a salt truck that was going 35 down a single lane road in a 90 zone, but we made it down in about 3 hours, and the ride down was fun. We got there around 10:30, the others got there closer to 12:30. The room was pretty cool. it was split-level with a king bed in the top suite, and a queen and some pull-outs in the bottom suite. Bathrooms on both levels. A kitchen in the bottom. It was awsome. Skiing the next day was fun, but I was less-good than I thought I was, and fell down too many times for me to remember. I'm very bruised... Gen, Suzanne, and their friend Lea joined us, and Alex took off with Gen while Suzanne and Lea very patiently helped me down the mountain. I landed in a bush. I think I'll stick to the bunny hills next time. I left them so they could get some good skiing in. Dan thinks I'll be lucky if the bruises fade before our wedding (not til Aug. 2008). After skiing, I went back to the hotel, had a snack, watched some tv, and took a walk to return my ski equipment. Fabian got back and we ate, then Alex came back with the girls. The others from Costco were napping by this point, so us 6 (me, girls, Alex & Fabian) went to the hot-tub. the girls couldn't stay long since Lea had a concert back in Ottawa to go to, so they left us, and we 3 went back up to the appartment to sleep a while. After our naps, we went to dinner at Caseys' with the Costco group, watched the hockey game, and all went to the Caribou, which is a dance bar. That was lots of fun, except that some creepy guy came and was grabbing my ass and trying to pull me over to dance with him... Fabian saved me though, and I will be ever grateful to him for that. We went back to the room at around 3:30, and 4 of us (Alex, Me, Fabian and Laura) all passed out on the pull out. Next morning, Laura and Mike left early 'cause they had prior engagements to attend in Ottawa. We played some drinking games and cleaned up the rooms, took a little stroll through the village, got beavertails and smoothies, and went back to the apartment. I bet Alex to talk without his accent for a month, and I'd give him $20. Lets see if he can do it. :P Right, Alex? The 4 of us (Me, Alex, Fabian and Liam) then set out for the trek home, which was much less eventful than the trip there, with the exception that Thurso was particularily smelly... The boys were all tired out, and didn't have it in them to play any car games. We got home, and I was very happy to be back, particularily because I missed Dan so much, and was very happy to see him. :) It was, all in all, a very fun weekend, and I think I'll try to go again next year... Maybe take a skiing lesson or 2 before this time. ;) December 19 The End of Summer, A Mercury Christmas Party, and a Whole Heck of a Lot of Fun!Hey all;
The last couple of days have been pretty hectic, but awsome none-the-less.
Saturday, after the last of my in-class driving instruction, I went home and cleaned the house in preparation of my End-of-Summer Party. It was a tropical-themed "christmas" party, and we turned the heat up and encouraged people to wear their summer clothes. I think we probably had about 40 or 50 people at one time. People both from Costco and Mercury came out, and everyone seemed to have a great time!
Sunday, after cleaning the house a bit and sleeping a lot, Dan and I went to the Mercury Christmas party, which was at Fat Tuesday's in the market. I had a blast dancing and hanging out with everyone. The drinks were way over-priced, and the dance-floor was really tiny, but a fun time was had anyway. My two guy friends from Costco showed up too, since all my Mercury friends seem to like them. Unfortunately Dan and I had to leave early since Dan had to work the next morning. I, luckily, didn't work til 12:30, so I slept in.
Last night we had people over to watch Phantom of the Opera. It was also fun. :) I like entertaining.
I'm looking forward to the next party. I still don't know what exactly is happening for New Years.
Pictures from the 2 parties will be to the right. Have fun. :) December 03 Karaoke December 2ndLast night was awsome!
We went out to Suzanne's for a Clothing swap. We had a lot of fun there, especially with Tom dressing in the girls clothes all night.
We ended up going to karaoke at the bar my mom and sister always go to since the one we normally use wasn't having karaoke there that night. I was worried at first, but everyone had a great time, as did I. My sister surprised me with how well she sang her songs, and my mom seemed really happy to have us all there. Poor Tom ended up with a tequilla shot from one of the patrons as a b-day drink (he turned 20 at midnight), and so he fell asleep and then ended up sick all night. Besides that, we all sang and danced, and had a great time. I think this is gonna be a new tradition for us.
I have to go to work now, so ttfn! December 01 Boys, Double-dates, and the Cancellations of My Plans...Well, let's start... at an earlier date.
Two weekends ago, we had our Costco Christmas party, which was awsome. I got to dance all night (and with some pretty cute boys too!), and there was good food, and lots of alcohol, and I went into work somewhat drunk the next day.
Last weekend, I had what I was calling my "Revolution" party, at which we played Karaoke Revolution, Dance dance Revolution, and Guitar Hero. Again, lots of booze, lots of good times. I hate to admit it, but man do I love flirting. Don't get me wrong; I love Dan to peices, and would never, ever think of leaving him, but flirting is so much fun! :P
Anyhow, onto the story at hand, there's these two guys at work, and they're both adorable. My very good friend keeps telling me how much she needs a boyfriend, so, being the caring, loving friend that I am, I invite these two (along with others that I knew were single) to my Revolution party, especially for her. Then, she almost bails. I got another friend to convince her to go, and she seemed to have a good time, and she told me that she thought both boys were cute, and she and one of them were talking all night long. She then calls me the next day, and asks if I'll invite the one she was talking with all night to her place for hockey. I oblige. Then she's all stand-offish with him all night, even though she's the one who wanted to invite him. Ok, fine.
So, she tells me that she's worried about his age (He's like, 3 years younger than her, actually, both boys she liked were, and I don't see that as a problem, but apparently it is), but that she'd like to give him another try. She asks if maybe we can go on a double date (her and him, with Dan and me). Sure, so I go through all this trouble trying to find a day and everything that works, and he can't make it, which is fine, these things happen... So, I ask her, "do you want to just forget about it, or just go the three of us, or invite the other boy along?" From what I understood, she wanted me to ask the other boy, so today, on my day off, I left my mom's place early, and went an hour out of my way to get to Costco before the guy worked at 2:30, so I could ask him to come. I don't have his phone number, so I can't just call him.
It was pouring rain, and I was drenched.
He seemed pretty happy to be invited (he had, after all, commented at the party that she was "bloody gorgeous", and was quite jealouse that the other boy took up all her time that night, since he had wanted to get to know her). He's off at 10 tomorrow night, and the show's nearby at 10 after 10. Dan and I (and our friend) can go to dinner with Dan's family, then ditch out early, and go to the late show, meet the boy there, it all works out. Unless something happens...
I got his cell number at that point, just incase.
So, then I get home, realize that I can't Christmas decorate (like I was planning on doing) because I have no other day before the Costco bakesale to bake anything, make a list of stuff, go out again, buy ingredients, come home, start baking, and look forward to seeing Happy Feet with Dan tonight... So, Dan calls, and tells me he has to bring some work home tonight, but that we can still see the movie, and I have to meet him at Bayshore (and pick up a belated b-day gift for his older sister at the Bay).
So, out I go again into the pouring rain...
I get to the bus stop, and even though the bus is supposedly running every 15 minutes, I end up waiting in the rain for 25 minutes...
Did I mention that back at Costco a spoke on my umbrella snapped, making it very difficult to use?
So, yeah, 25 minutes of fighting in the wind and rain with a broken umbrella. Finally the bus comes, but it starts going right past me! It stops a block up, and I have to run for it! I couldn't believe the driver, just passing me like that! It's not like I was hiding or something... So, I get to Bayshore, and I'm already running late. Dan called me on the bus to tell me he'd be like 20 minutes or something. I go to the Bay to get the gift card, and the cashier is the slowest ever! I swear, she took like 15 minutes just to figure out how to load up the card! When that was over and done with, I go to the food court to find Dan. He's not there yet... That's strange, because he should be... So, I wait another 15 minutes (by now, It's been about 35 since he called me). He's parking; ok. He comes in and finds me as my friend I mentioned above calls to tell me things are good for the double-date night at the movies tomorrow. Unless something happens... Fine. Dan questions me as to how much he owes me for the gift card, "$25" "What?! Why only $25?" "Cause that's all we usually spend... and you didn't tell me otherwise..." "You didn't ask... You should've called" "I didn't want to get you while you were driving..." Etc. So, we go back to the Bay to add another $15 onto it. Luckily got a different cashier.
Then Dan tells me we can't go see Happy Feet (or any other movie) because he has more work than he anticipated...
Did I mention that I had a free pass to go to the theatre?
Did I also mention that it expired tonight?
So, waisted fee theatre ticket, wasted bus trip, waisted couple hours I could have spent finishing my baking...
We have dinner. I had Taco Bell.
"It's not so bad," I say, "we're going on that double date tomorrow night to see The Fountain anyways."
Unless something happens...
I'm in the middle of making my cupcakes when my friend from earlier calls. She can't make it for the double date 'cause she wants to go to bed early that night. But she'll still come out to dinner (and skip out on her animation work to do so... as Dan will so wonderfully point out... He's a work-o-holic anyways, but still, I see his point...)
So, not only did I make a completely unneccissary trip out to Costco to find the guy to invite him, and waste at least an hour of my afternoon, and get drenched in the process, but now I have to call the poor guy, and let him know my friend bailed. I think he was pretty disappointed, but he figured "it was too good to be true", and "these things happen".
Anyhow, I think I'm going to bed now. I'm worn out, and disappointed because out of 2 dates in 2 nights, to see 2 movies, both were cancelled. Oh well, I still have Karaoke comming up on Saturday. Hopefully I don't get anymore "unless something happens..."'s. October 26 Not a Very Interesting Entry...I don't really feel like writing, but I figure I should probably update everyone on how things are in my life (not that anyone ever reads this anyways...). I appologise for this entry's lack-luster.
Here I am, at my Mom's house, eating Chef Boiardee lasagna, whittling away my time at the computer. Dan's gonna be picking me up at 9ish, and we'll be seeing the Prestige tonight.
Dan and I will be going to London, Ontario this weekend for Melina's Dad's funeral.
Planning for Dan's B-day is comming along alright, but I'm not sure yet how many people will be comming out.
I've been enjoying the music from Rent these past couple of days.
And Shadow helped me throw out my back on Monday, and I still have pains, and can't twist, turn or bend at the waist.
How are you all doing? October 15 Lots of Stuff, and A Kitten in My Lap.I have an adorable, sweet little Mihny-Man in my lap, and he loves me tremendously. :)
Just thought I'd make that clear. ;P
Long time no write. Been to lots of weddings and birthdays. Lots of working. Not enough working out, or writing in here, or eating very well.
I went to the birthday party of a friend of mine tonight (Darren), and there, I met a friend of mine from high school. After Darren flattered me by telling this old friend of mine that I was a model (even though technically I'm not yet), my old friend went on with how much he believes I can achieve this dream of mine.
Because of this brief encounter, I would like to turn over a new leaf.
Starting monday, I will make a bigger effort to go to the gym on a regular basis, and eat healthier foods (less processed crap for starters), and I will try to write in here more. I also want to more actively persue my aspirations of getting a job in modelling, acting, or singing, and get somewhere.
Now lets see if I can live up to my goals and resolutions...
On other news, may happiness and good fortune follow my dear friend Melina as she venures forth to visit her ailing father in London, Ont. I wish her only the best. Hugs and kisses from Dan and me.
It's late, and I want to try to get to work tomorrow, so I'll end it on this.
Wish me luck, and the will-power to keep true to my word. May 30 Thursday the 11th until Sunday the 14thOK, back to the story. Thursday was a bit boring to be honest... I got up, Irene and I did breakfast. It was raining and miserable out. I went and dropped off Irene's cheque and my signed contract. I realized that I'd probably need a pedicute too, so I did that. Irene took me out for a little snack before my departure, and I went to the greyhound station, caught my bus, and went home. It was a long day, with not much to it. I got drenched while comming back from the agency because I had no umbrella. pretty unexciting. I worked the next day, and talked to Reni about how I should get rid of my shift on Sunday. Started at 9:00 am, and left at 5:30 for Dan to pick me up and us to go shopping to get me clothed for my shoot. We went to Bayshore. Saturday was pretty much the same except that it was 8:30 til 5, and we went to St.Laurant, then to Myrosia's place to borrow some stuff, then we were supposed to go to Logans, but we couldn't get ahold of hjim. It was Carrie's B-Day party, and I really wanted to go, so I was disappointed it took so long at Myrosia's... Anyways, we stayed up really late packing up my stuff and getting me ready for the next day. Sunday; luckily my Dad was in town to give me a lift into Toronto that morning, otherwise my bus fare would have been throught the roof! Dad and Irene picked me up at around 8ish, we stoped 5 or 6 times on the way to Toronto, through-out which most I slept. We got there, I got my manicure touched up, and went to the photo shoot. It was about 3:30 when I got there, and my shoot was schedualed for 4. They didn't start with me until about 4:30, because there were other people to have shoots done too. I had my make up done, then went outside for my first set; casual. Came back, got changed, make-up and hair again, then went to some hall in the building for formal. Went back, got changed again for club, hair and make-up, shot just outside the room on a "set" which was a black back ground with some lights. Got dressed, had a slice of pizza from my agent (it was a tiny piece too, and I was fanished since all I had to eat all day was some toast and an ice-cap...) and called my dad to pick me up. After picking up Kelly, we went to take a look at another house Irene and my dad were looking into buying, then they raced me off to catch my bus at 9. I realized I had lfet my jewelry with the photographer, and Dad went and picked it up after they droped me off. I was frustrated because my bus ticked apparently wasn't good on Sundays, so I had to go get it exchanged, so I lost my good seat. I slept for part of the way home, but read my magazine for the rest. We stopped in Bellville, where I promptly bought a turkey wrap and water, since I was still famished. I got home at 2 in the morning, and had to work the next day... I was unimpressed. And tired. But, I should be hearing back from them any day now with my photos. :) Looking forward to it! Waiting ~ Why Don't People Call My Cell Phone If I'm Out!?I'm kinda pissed off today. I was supposed to work, but Reni asked me to switch shifts with her. So, I get today and Wednesday off instead of Wednesday & Thursday off. This in itself isn't necissarily a bad thing... In fact, I was getting really sick of working, and figured having my days off sooner would be beneficial. However, I did have plans schedualled for Thursday what I had to re-organize. One was that I was supposed to have lunch with a friend. I called her, and we re-colaborated for having breakfast instead (since I don't work til 12:30). Ok, one taken care of. I was also supposed to have my regular hang-out session with my other friend, so I called to see if she would have liked to hang out today instead of Thursday. She said sure. I was happy. However, what got me upset is that she then called my house and left a message saying that she'd rather not hang out. So, of course, I didn't get the message, since I got in late last night... I woke up early this morning and babed myself out since I was hoping we'd be able to take advantage of the nice weather, and waited for her until 10:30. Then, I just happened to be by the answering machine (I was checking the radio), when I noticed there was a message waiting for me. I listened to it and found out that my friend decided she didn't feel like comming out. Now, normally, I wouldn't have a problem with a friend calling to cancel, I'd just call another friend and make plans with them, but why didn't she call on my cell and tell me herself, instead of leaving a message?! Then, I'd have called someone else last night and made plans! But no! I got up early this morning and waited for her for 2 hours because I didn't know any better, and that bothered me. It's not like it would have been too late to call on my cell. I told her I was working late, and I can get my cell phone while I'm at work, and I stay up til midnight anyways. If I didn't answer the house phone, it's likely I will answer my cell because I'm probably just out. The only thing I can see as a reason for her not wanting to talk to me directly is that maybe she thought I'd be angry, which I wouldn't have been, or she was lying and didn't want to tell me the real reason she didn't want to come out. So, I'm kinda pissed. It'll wear off. I can make stuff for me to do today, like this. And maybe I'll get some flowers and do some gardening, but I'm angry that I waisted 2 hours this morning doing nothing, waiting. I'll stop ranting now. May 29 Wednesday the 10th: Interview for the AgencySo, Wednesday morning, the 10th of May, I woke up around 7:30/8ish when my Dad left for work. I got up, had my shower, did some sit-ups, got dressed, did all my other morning stuff, made my "bed" ( I slept on the couch with an added air-matress), and read one of my magazines until Irene work up. I think she was up around 10, and when she finished getting up and dressed, we went and had breakfast at the little restaraunt next to their place. I had scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, banana slices, and hashbrowns. Tasty! Then, we went, gathered the stuff I needed from the appartment: a change of shoes (I wasn't planning on wearing heels all day), the camera, my portfolio. We got in the car and drove to the address given on the modelling agency's web-site. ( http://www.lacitemodels.com ) So, we got there, and Irene dropped me off so she could run some errands, and told me to call once I was done. Now, I was about 20-25 minutes early (my appointment was at 12:30), but there was no-one in the office that was marked as La Cite, but I figured it was around lunch time, so maybe they were all out to lunch. I waited. By the time my interview time had come and past (10 minutes after it should have started) I called the agency's phone number. I got the answering maching, which went on to tell me the agency's address was actually halfway across town on Young street (surprisingly close to where my Dad and Irene live in the first place...). It turns out they had just moved offices, and had forgotten to update their website. I then proceeded to call Irene for her to pic me up and bring me to the right place. Figuring I was going to be late, I kept trying to call the agency to tell them what had happened. They didn't answer the phone til 1; I guess they were on lunch still. I finally got through, and asked where the place was exactly, and we judged we'd be there in 15 minutes. And we were. So, I went in, and filled out a form for the receptionist with all my info (hair & eye colour, height, weight, ethnicity, experience, etc). She then told me the agent was running late. So I waited and watched fashion television. It turns out whomever I spoke to on the phone had booked me in for the wrong day, and they weren't even expecting me that day! But, seeing as this was their mistake, she phoned around and found another agent to come in. She warned me he'd be about half an hour, and that I could go down for a coffee, but seeing as I didn't want to spend any of my $200 that Dan gave me unless I needed it, and I had no other money I could spend, besides not knowing the area and worrying I was gonna get lost, I declined and said I'd be fine sitting in the waiting room watching fashion television... 40 to 45 minues later, the agent finally showed up, and took me. He asked me some questions, like if I knew what kind of buisness I was getting into, and why I wanted to be in modelling. He seemed to like my answers. I told him that I realized that you are the photographers/clients marionette pretty much, and that you needed to do whetever was asked of you. I told him I wanted to get into modelling because I like being the center of attention, and I like preforming, and that I wanted to get my foot in the door and maybe eventually become an actress. He liked my personallity and energy, and he said my photos that I did have showed that I was photogenic, and good at moving. He said that they wanted me to join their agency. He offered to pay for my portfolio and any training necessary. Also, that if I got any jobs outside of Canada, they'd pay for the trip, hotel and food expences. So, I needed to get a portfolio done. He told me that they'd alot an "allowance" of $1500 for the portfolio, and asked if I knew anyone. Of course I didn't, so he asked if he could refer me to someone. Of course. So, he called someone up. This someone is apparently one of the top 10 photographers in Toronto. The booking agent said it would be $1750 for the portfolio, and that was the discounted agency price. It would be more if I booked it myself. So, after thinking for a moment, my agent said that'd be fine. The booker was impressed that the agency was willing to spend that much money on me when I was a "nobody" but my agent said I had lots of potential. So, after that I had to run off to Eaton Center and find someone to take my measurements. My agent gave me tickets for the subway, and I was off. That was hard and annoying because I had to be back within an hour. I didn't know how to get into the subway station because I went in the wrong way and almost got lost, then after getting off at Eaton Center, I couldn't find a place to measure me... Grrr... When I finally did get measured, I subwayed back, but got off one stop too late. I subwayed back to the right spot, and half ran/half walked back to the agency. I was only 5 minutes over. I turned out that the printer was broken, so he couldn't print off my contract papers I needed to sign. So, he e-mailed them to me to print off myself and bring them back in the next day. I also had to pay for my comp cards, which are like a model's buisness cards, with a couple pictures, our name and stats on them that the agency sends to potential clients. These were kinda expencive, so I gave him the $200 I had on me (because he needed to pay for them upfront), and I promised the rest after I got paid... I would have had to borrow money from Dan... which I hate doing...) but, I told this to Irene, and she and Dad paid the difference, which I was emencely grateful for. :) I read everything before he sent them to me so I could ask him any questions I had. He also booked my photoshoot for the following Sunday (mother's day), and went over what I needed for that. I needed to be clean shaven or waxed, and have a french manicure (square) so I'd be neutral for all the outfits I was to bring. So, I was done for the day, and needed to go back the next day to hand in all my signed papers. I called Irene, and she picked me up. Irene wanted to show me a little fixer-uper that she and my Dad were looking into buying. We then went and after hearing the good news, and that I needed a bikini waxing and manicure, Irene droped me off at a little nails place near their place, and I got waxed and manicured, and Irene paid for it. She picked up my Dad while I was doing that, and the came and picked me up, and we had dinner at this really awsome Chinese buffet place. By now, it was 9:30-10ish, and we went home, had some tea and went to bed. I've got other stuff I need to do before heading off to work, so I'll continue the story later. Bye! May 25 Tuesday's Mad Dash Before My Departure...Wow! Talk about a busy couple of weeks!! Lots of working, plus my modelling, it's just all been almost too much! Let's see, where did I leave off? Oh, right. So, Tuesday morning, I got out of bed, saw Dan off for work, and headed over to West End Academy to get a trim (of my hair) as well as a color and highlights. The girl I saw did a very nice job, and I was quite happy with the results, although it did take about 2 and a half hours. I then chatted with Melina on the phone for a bit before getting lunch at Subway, and heading back toward my end of town. I was planning on getting that MP3 player at Futureshop, since they price-match, and I had a good deal in a flyer for it, but the Futureshop near my place didn't have any more of that model, and I didn't want the one with only 512 memory (the one I wanted had 1 gig.) So, I didn't get it, and all the better because, honestly, after everything to come, I really just didn't have enough cash. So, I went home, did my nails, packed up and headed into town to meet up with Dan around dinner. I just barely made it there on time. We went to a pho restaurant, and I had this delicious pineapple stir-fry, while Dan had pho (soup), then I remembered I forgot to bring PJ's, so we went and picked me up a cute pair from Zellars. Dan dropped me off at the Greyhound station, and off I went. I read for the 1st half of my trip, but my light's direction was screwy, so after our stop at the Log Cabin, I just napped the rest of the way. Upon arriving at the station in Toronto, I had a moment of panic when I thought I lost my wallet, but it turned out while I was napping, I must've been uncomfortable with it in my back pocket, so I had transferred it to my purse unknowingly. My Dad and step-Mom Irene picked me up and we passed by some tran-y hookers that were interesting along their block. We pretty much just went to bed as soon as we got in. I'm running short on time at the moment, so I'll write the next instalment when I have another free minute. TTYL. May 08 Toronto, Time Apart and Mihn Peeing on the Carpet...So, I'm going to Toronto tomorrow night. My bus will be leaving at 7 and getting there by midnight. I'm really looking forward to visiting with Dad and Irene, and it's really exciting since this is my first trip down there by myself! I'm a little nervous about my audition though, mostly because I'm still over 130, even though for the past week I've been eating really healthily and drinking 64 oz. of water a day (8 X 8 oz glasses). And I've been trying to work out a bit on top of that, but that's hard to do while working.
I'm looking at getting a new MP3 player for the ride, but I feel I can't really afford it... :( I also want to go to the salon and get my hair all done nice (a trim and dye job), but again, I'm worried about it being too expensive. I managed to get the day off tomorrow, so that I can squeeze getting that stuff done in, but I have to call the salon and see the pricing today, and find out if I need an appointment. I'd rather not work today too, but I can't take that much time off...
Dan says he's gonna miss me a lot while I'm gone, and I'm gonna miss him too. This will be the longest time (2 days, but sort of like 3 because he's working all of Tuesday, and we're only getting together for maybe an hour to have dinner and have him drop me off) we spent apart since he went to Manatoolin with his family in 2003 (i think?). And before that since we started dating.
Mihn peed on the carpet again this morning. He got showered for it, and left in the bathroom for a half an hour or so. I don't understand why he does it! He knows we get pissed off about it, and when he does it, he knows to hide from us, What's his problem?? His litter is cleaned every evening, he's fed at about the same time twice a day (8 or 9 am, 9 pm), He's gotr plenty of water, and it's not like he does it after anything different happens! If we were gone for a few days and he did it because he was upset, I could understand, or if he did it because I forgot to clean his litter, I'd understand that too, but there's absolutely no pattern! I clean where he's peed almost as soon as it's discovered, and I've used "cat deterents" on the spots, like vinegar, and cat repellant spray. Some days he does it, and some days he doesn't! I love him to peices, but man, does he piss me off sometimes! (no pun intended...)
Anyhow, I've gotta run, since I have stuff to do before I leave for work. I'll be sure to bring my camera along so I can post some pictures when I get back. :) ttyl. |
